The president probably doesn’t even understand the irony with hiring a staff that can’t be vetted while he wants to instigate extreme vetting at our borders. You just couldn’t have imagined he was as stupid as he is.

So we shouldn’t have extreme vetting at our borders?

Is that a serious question? Because I'm totally serious. Why secure the border if the white house doen't give a shit about background checks?
My mother was hit by a drunk illegal immigrant so to me it’s not funny at all. It’s completely fine if you don’t like Donald Trump but that dosnt mean you shouldn’t want responsible border security.

It's completely fine to want border security, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't want grown ups in the White House who can pass a background check.

there is no point in asking CF these kinds of questions because her answer will always be "but... Trump!"

Don't you have a chrisword puzzle to solve?

I think Carter was likely the last one to have actually earned a TS clearance before getting into politics.
It's not a question of having a clearance before entering politics, it's a question of suitability for the job. Kushner has been under investigation since last May, is suspected of having undisclosed communications with Russian agents, and does not qualify for a top level clearance. He needs to go.

Here's an article from a conservative site that apparently tried to create a late season surprise, but it documents the dedication to integrity that the Obama administration followed.

Quote:"The FBI has indicated that they are inclined to decline interim security clearance for Benjamin Rhodes who is OFA senior speechwriter and national security policy person," Cassandra Butts, a lawyer for Obama's transition team, wrote Podesta in an email dated Oct. 29, 2008.

"They have not shared an explanation as to why," she said. "If his interim status is denied, the FBI will still undertake a full-clearance process review of his application post-election and make a final determination.

"In terms of our options," Butts told Podesta, "we could ask the FBI for an explanation on the denial and make a determination if it is worth pushing to obtain an interim status, or we can wait for the full review post-election."

In a later follow-up email, however, Butts told Podesta the Obama transition team would not challenge the FBI in the matter.

"We agree that it would not be worth pushing for Benjamin Rhodes to receive interim status," she said.

However, Rhodes was the only transition member denied a clearance out of nearly 200 applicants, Butts noted.

"For your information, out of the approximately 187 people who we have moved through the process Benjamin was the only person declined interim status," she said.

Oh my! One Obama official couldn't pass a background check!

Where's their outcry now??!!!???!!!

Here we were just a month into this fiasco...

6 Trump staffers escorted from the White House for failing background check.

Rudy Giuliani admitted that there were two meetings with the Russians, but that Trump wasn't at the first meeting...that never happened(credit: Steven Colbert). What?

Just a couple weeks ago Giuliani was trying to make a case that Cohen had violated the attorney client privilege by recording the president and then releasing recordings of the president talking about the payments to a porn star...that he didn't know about, that he denied making, that he paid but didn't know what they were about etc, etc, etc.

Now, Giuliani talks about a meeting with the Russians, that wasn't public knowledge, and instead of fumbling the football and tackling the other team guy who picks up the ball, he turns and runs for the opposing teams goal line. So, now that Giuliani put the cat in a clear plastic bag, it's fair game for Cohen to discuss the meeting, hmmm, maybe there's a tape of it!

No, this isn't funny at all.

Donald Trump Jr. thinks you're an idiot...

Who in the hell is he talking to? People who never went to school? No wonder republicans want to end public education. When the audience doesn't know shit, they will believe anything you say. Once again, not funny.
