This may or may not of been discussed already at some point.

Does too far to walk represent the distance from WWWH to putting in below? OR does it pertain to a distance that is too far to walk after putting in below?

food for thought
IMO, To Far To Walk is referring to the distance between WWWH and where you "Put In" below the HoB. But it's more of an elevation change than a distanced walked
To far to walk is NOT referring to any distance in any way! It's telling you how to get there.

too hard to walk as opposed to too far. interesting perspective. are you suggesting it may take relatively the same time to walk uphill? therefore a long walk? Nice.

how to get where? there must be some distance involved in some way, otherwise there is no where to go. "there" is where you are going.

Exactly! Shhhhhhh it'll be our little secret. Oh wait.....
IMO, too far to walk is taking the dry land route up the hill and back down into the canyon from the home of Brown to the blaze. On the other hand, if you followed the stream up to the blaze it ain't so far.

That's my read, and confidence is growing daily...getting prepared for a road trip, I am.
It's the distance between WWWH and HOB and Forrest gave us that in the book - he said it was a hint and it didn't take a genius to figure it out - so if your distance doesn't approximately match, you are probably on the wrong track. Good luck.
