Hi Sam.........Just wondering about your solve. Have you ever sent it to Forrest to look at?

It sounds like you have a solid solve from your describing how you go about interpreting it............ Good luck in your search. Smile

Good afternoon everyone….I had to take a brake from "TTOTC". It was driving me crazy. But I'll be heading out to New Mexico next month. If anyone wants to "team up" in New Mexico, send me a email @ KTRPL2@aol.com. I just want everyone to know, after next month, you won't have to look for the "THRILL". because it's mine!!!!!! Smile Big Grin Smile

I too am going on the Chase next month, but I will be a little north of you. I am convinced Yellowstone is the key. Or nearby.. I've said too much.

Don't forget to take lots of pics and post a trail report!

Greetings Plato...Yes, Mr. Fenn knows what I have although I don't think he would admit to even knowing who I was if asked...LOL...

Thanks for the wish for luck...Probably going to need it...My interpretation is way different than the average...I just have a method that worked very well for me...Waiting for the finances to make a trip west...Plan to start revealing this solution a little at a time when I get to start west...Many will find it very interesting I think...Best of luck to you also Plato... Popular parts of Yellowstone is closed due to melting asphalt.

I'm glad we drove that last year when we were there. I hope the road to my search area doesn't close because it is certainly too far to walk.

From there, it's no place for the meek

The end is ever drawing nigh

Here, I am picking up indication that he is referring to "DEAD" RECKONING.

today, 22/7 closer to a real pi day than 3/14

I would not be surprised if the treasure was found this summer, so I better tarry scant because I cant be that one guy who knew about it for over a year and never searched for it!

Best of luck to you guys, off to Yellowstone!

Clue list of mine:

1 I can keep my secret where, and hint of riches new and old

2 Begin it where warm waters halt, and take it in the canyon down

3 Not far, but too far to walk

4 Put in below the home of Brown

5 From there its no place for the meek, the end is ever drawing nigh

6 there'll be no paddle up our creek

7 just heavy loads and water high

8 If you've been wise and found the blaze, look quickly down your quest to cease

9 I can't accept that there are just two wasted stanzas, so there must be something in them.

“I think that is awesome. Finally, we have something here. Do you think this means the clues are not in order? Do we begin here instead of WWWH?

Very interesting. I need to give this some thought. However, I'm sure we have all heard of the statistics in history. We can always make something fit. This is a good one though.

Where's Astree when we need him?”

Scott,

The problem with the anagram approach, is that the possibilities ( even considering specifics like the SOMEONE HOLDS GALLATIN DEAR) are way too high. It would need to be guided, or according to some undisclosed rule set.

Here’s a (loose) example

FROMTH ere its no place f ORTHEM eek

Part of the ‘rule’ or reference, would be MEEK = MOTHER, and the MOTHER grouping occurs twice in the line

FROM THERE IT’S NO PLACE FOR THE MEEK

"MOTHER MOTHER" A SELECTION KEEPER

or

SEEK "MOTHER MOTHER". RELOCATE PINE. ( or, SEEK "MOTHER". RELOCATE "MOTHER" PINE, lol)

Forrest did give several examples of anagrams, but not too complicated (like "butterfly" = "flutterby". If anagrams are used, I think they will be guided, and not entire sentences.

Flutterby, butterfly is also known as a Spoonerism, after Reverend William Archibald Spooner.

Here's my favorite line for a Spoonerism:

But tarry scant with marvel gaze

Starry cant? Gravel Maze? What else might it mean? I don't know! But that line keeps me up at night more than my 2 year old!
