Sorry but I didn't hear that it is buried...I heard him say he didn't want to take it out and bury it somewhere that he didn't know where it was...This is his lament over his bells and jars...They ARE buried and he said 3 feet down so metal detectors could not easily find them...He also said he doubted he could now find them himself...The treasure is a different story and hidden on different terms...He said if he wished he could go pick it up tomorrow...Doesn't sound buried to me...But believe what you wish... Smile

Also IMO don't need lat and long when the place is named IF you find what he hid in the poem...Good luck and good hunting James... Smile

I don't think it is buried. If anything he took a rock out and put in the chest and threw latias on it... Imo

Near vega beams too....

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latia_neritoides

Or vegas, the prairie meadow

hey Holly where's the prairie meadow? vegas nm?

RE: fenns vid on youtube oct 7 2015 - HollyfromMN - 12-15-2015

In one of his videos Forrest talks about throwing latias and vegas on the chest before he left. Latia= shell, Vega = roof beam or prairie meadow. Or did I mishear Forrest...? Anyway, And, it could be a reference to Vegas, NM, now that you mention it!

RE: fenns vid on youtube oct 7 2015 - old drum - 12-16-2015

I suspect he'd have said viga (roof beam), not vega (meadow). Two different words.

RE: fenns vid on youtube oct 7 2015 - HollyfromMN - 12-16-2015

Ok, so it was "A"" chest, maybe not "THE" chest. I listened again.

Fenn has never said it is buried; he has never said it is not buried.

Ummm. I didn't hear the video in question but I'd put my money on vigas and latillas not vegas and latias.
