Well, good luck in New Mexico.

Searching is a treasure within itself.

I found two arrowheads the last time I was up there, while looking around.

Plus, there is camping, hiking, fishing, rafting, photography, .......spying on Desertphile :-) .........just so many awesome things one can do besides searching. Then later, I can watch and remember all these events and places in my mind and then apply it to the poem.

I have a license for that whiskey still!

On my first search out (in which I wasn't searching so much as hiking w/ my daughter) everybody in the Jemez mts seemed to think the chest was up at Eagle's Nest because of that dumb picture.

</div>

i have a few theories on the bird, but thus far nothing too important to finding the treasure. my opinion at this point leans more towards the nest, that is what is important and a generic bird is drawn there because it is a nest and nests have birds

the nest is there as a clue that refers to the moon nest rhyme to help remember the moon phases and when it is waxing and waning

incomplete to the west, the moon will soon disappear and hide in its nest

incomplete to the east, soon its as big as a Christmas feast

as an afterthought though, maybe the bird is added because the second part of the rhyme, birds are traditionally the main course of a Christmas feast

Chris ~ you are saying you think the Lat/Long in the book is in degrees AND decimal?

I don't understand the 36 inches under the ground clues. Please help me out.

IHATECHESS777 at YAHOO . COM

(This is a good conversation about the poem and book, keep it up!)
</div>

yes the poem is encoded with old form and decimal form of the coordinates, imo

i am going to respectfully decline to further discuss clues by email. i hope u understand

yes, this is good discussion, lets keep it going

In my opinion the poem is encoded with an X on the map and that's it. No coordinates. All you need is a map and the poem.

I'm really starting to dislike the word "it".......... What is "IT" in the above statements? WWWH? The treasure? or something else?
</div>

i was talking about the treasure. but you know it would apply to WWH as well since naturally they would be in the same state

ive read the crazy theories about WWH being in a different state and the poem takes you to another state

sure, ya, try harder lol Tongue

Indeed, and I think your hypothesis is clever. But Mr. Fenn has said that people tend to "over-think" the solution, and I suspect you have also done so. Of course you will probably find the chest and shove it my my face while wailing "Ha ha! In your eye! Haw haw haw!"
