Perhaps "Shut your engine off until Spring (12/4/2015 words) and...of course..."The Little Engine That Could" (Watty Piper).

OR...since I am going to Yankee Stadium tomorrow for "bat" day..."Casey at the Bat"...

"The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Mudville nine that day:
The score stood four to two, with but one inning more to play..."

"But there is no joy in Mudville-mighty Casey has struck out"
(Yikes!)
RP

RP, I think Casey has struck out or is in the ninth inning of a solve. Could go either way. I think someone out there is getting close.

hear me all.....yr effort ....the coal.

I had seen that, and related it to:

As well, the skip 6 starting with the "n" of "answer"

RE: Weekly Words / Question, May 13 - Blaze and Chest
Thats yr hob in the square? It's been my latest hob of site I haven't visited, I dig it. Noun eu\Tx bride if yr feeling me?

I wonder if Ironwood can be seen in this method, I have ran into it along with no less than 2 sports that utilize it and a 8 letter word with -ch in it that also utilizes it.
Actually it is quite uncoincidental the # of 8-10 letter words starting with/or contain Ch that can be found in poem.
Ex: bocce ball can be explained by poem or half I should say- cochonnet
while other half can be about the chochinneal, bug that creates red dye in SW deserts of US. I've done it tired and now weak/color is faded or faint. Then go back to ST1 "in", "distinct", "in" inside of "hint""
Tie together indistinct hint=faint and notice faint has "in" inside.
Faint to now weak.

Bocce ball in Italy the circle where they put the chochonnet is a ronde. Circle/round/ever drawing nigh. Bocce balls and skittles made from Ironwood. Some cartouches also from Fewood.

If yr saying 'it' is key I've pretty much ruled it out, could be wrong. Are saying 'here he' with T's?
St 2 might say this
I from ST1 begin (I) wwwh=clouds
IC
Take it in the c.d., not 4, but 2x4 so 8 skip from "C" is K
ICK
Put in below HOB;HOB is also a farmer. New York Times Crossword Puzzle Dictionary
1977
A farmers homestead is also a WICK- same source

From there no place....wicked maybe
I'm just free thinking here
End is ever....wicket is a hoop
Of interest a wicket also means stump-drawing from book
It also means basketry
Canasta like Osier, CO = basket, stay home play canasta...
I'm getting somewhere....
