Hey! I can see the chest! I can see the chest! It's right by a rock, the one next to a tree.

Oh, and cool story Wolf. Boo.

Sue,

Thank you and yes it was wonderful - I recommend it to everyone. I guess you have not been following my comments on the Continental Divide theory/discussion!? LOL

I meant your chase. You really think you can leave it on that mountain? Smile

Wolf,

I really liked your story. Keep up the research and your quest for it is, at least I believe, gotten you very close. I, too, have searched this area three times. That walk down the canyon to the confluence of the Red River and Rio Grande is a real challenge....at least back up is. Maybe part five will end in jubilation. Don't give up.

Sue, I think that I will leave that to our proponents of the Continental Divide to answer! ;-)

"So now that I am convinced that I have identified where warm waters halt, I follow the canyon down to about 2.6 km which is too far to walk to the "

The "too far to walk" line has me puzzled, because of the seemingly vague nature of the statement, and how everything is supposed to be very 'precise' in the poem. I've seen some very in shape 80 year olds that can outwalk the younger generation and there's no time frame, walk in a day, hour. Folks seem to interpret this as a 'day' or less, but I'm not so sure.

Great trip & report though.
