There was a post on this web site about a month ago, claiming Beavertooth was in fact Mindy. Whether or not this accusation is true or can be proven I dont know. I do have suspicion or suspect there are individuals posting at this web site using more than one alias or name.

On my very first post here, B.T. took it upon herself/himself to edit my posting. In so many words saying the editing was more appropriate. That may have been true to them, but I'm I not allowed to tell the truth in my own words. To me, that was an act of war, and I was ready to go down fighting if need be.

Was I right......NO, because i am a guest in someone else's home, house, web site call it what you will, but I know now, I should be respectful as possible when it comes to rules, and my behavior in their home, as you would in someone's real home.

Bottom line is " they are calling the shots" not you or I.

I personally do not believe they are the same people. They have different writing styles. As to BT, I have no opinion. However, I will state that this site would be best served by the deletion of a handful of members who only troll, argue and cause problems. i wont name anyone, but I think many know who I'm talking about.

They are not the same.
Mindy would have supported BT's ban instead of lifting it if they were the same.

Funny, I think the opposite. Lift all bans and see what happens.

Here's my evidence:

BT Wrote:

Wait one minute. You just banned me for 3 months for a personal attack (BTW, thanks for no warning or a slow escalation of ban like first offense one week, second offense one month, etc.) and now you EDITED someone's post. They get an edit, I get a ban? Can you give any reason for this inconsistency? Which is it for a personal attack ban or edit?

BT Wrote:
"I took out one word from Bet's post.....I took out one sentence from Boomergirl's post."
Again, editing more posts than just a straight up ban. Hmm, notice these post are from women. So is BT biased in gender with his moderation? It appears so. The rooster is trying to make it to where he's the only one in the hen house? It appears so.

BT Wrote:
"You are now warned against personal attacks, whether by innuendo, or otherwise. They are against the rules."
Sorry BT, you mean how YOU interpret innuendo or otherwise. This site needs checks and balances because you're clearly going unchecked. You banned me for a post you misinterpreted, I brought it up to Mindy who disagreed with you and unbanned me. Then, you saw that and banned me again. So the score was 1-1, in this case Stephanie should chime in and be the deciding factor.

And I'm not the only one whose noticed this:

sounds to me your asking for another time out, BT is calling them as he/or she sees them ,kinda like an umpire thats part on moderating if i was you i would pipe down a bit and post something about the chase

RE: Why BT needs to go (as Moderator)
Is that what I'm doing?
Is this another made-up rule? Time-out for calling out a moderator and showing proof that they are being biased and inconsistent in their moderation?

Ok, we can use your umpire analogy.
What BT is doing is calling strikes for some people using the same strike zone (his same interpetation of 'personal attack') and calling it 6 outs for me.

Lol. I was banned for an accusation of hypocrisy with no proof. The owner and moderators of this forum are all suspect, IMO.

Cry me a river.

You got a three-month timeout (not a permanent ban) for attacking and kicking someone when they were down. A searcher lost her home in a hurricane. You said that if she had no savings in the bank and no insurance, it was her fault, implying no one should contribute any funds to help her out.

sharpsburg8 has apparently never understood why I edited the title of his thread. I will try again. Free speech in this country is not unlimited. Yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater is not allowed, for obvious reasons. I interpreted the title of his thread to be somewhat akin to yelling "Fire", in the context of the Chase.

The content of his post, which I did not change, was that he had finally figured out how to sign on to ChaseChat after one or two years. His thread title was "Eureka ... I Have Found It". Most of us would assume that meant he had found the chest (and was prepared to prove it, according to the rules of this site). To reduce the stress on everyone reading that title, and to prevent many users from deciding a new participant might be a jackass, or troll, or worse, and subsequently posting a series of complaints about it, I changed the title to reflect the content. No timeout or warning, just a modest title change to reflect the content of the post.

Lots of errors in your logic.

1) Did not kick a searcher while they were down (but I accept and understand your interpretation of such). I said, as you have quoted, that I was not trying to throw shade. I put in "because that's what I'm doing" because I knew exactly how it would sound to others. I'll rewrite what I meant - "I'm not trying to be mean (but I know some will interpret this as such). I was trying to soften the blow of the questions I was about to ask because I knew (in this snowflake world) how some people will interpret them. One moderator got it, the other did not.

2) Show me where I said she had no savings or insurance. If you look again you will see question marks at the end. I was simply trying to inquire more information on her situation. And yes, if she had none of those things she would be at fault. Whose else fault would it be?

Anyway. I have said what I wanted to say. I have made peace with it. Me and my $5000 I was to donate have moved on.

Back to the chase

Now, I have to call bs on that. Nobody generous enough who would donate $5,000 would be deterred from donating due to a third party moderator on some forum.

You must be a very rich person if you have the talent to predict the actions of every individual personality on the planet.

Or a very cynical person. The chase has attracted and produced a lot of those, so I know which one my money's on.
