Compelling "Drama"
This post is for the raptor fans. I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home and have a modest home near one of the scant greenbelts in Iowa. Lately on my daily lunch walks, I am able to watch two bald eagles hunting along the river. It makes it hard to return to work.

Yesterday I remembered the Decorah Eagle Cam. On February 27th, a second egg was laid. It's exciting for me to be a voyeur and watch, and it makes me yearn for better weather when the bird activity really takes off around me. Decorah is way northeast of me, but I will make the trek after the eggs hatch.

Wait a second, where's the drama? The best I can do for now is share a video of the evening after the second egg was laid. An owl decided to take a pot shot at the female eagle in the nest: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ-PleQ8eXs

The real "drama" comes when the eggs hatch. I'm sucker for it every year. Here's a good site to follow the drama live: https://www.raptorresource.org/birdcams/decorah-eagles/

I don't expect this to be a popular thread but hope it provides some solace for those trying to escape drama and want to have a little fun. I'll post updates as the drama unfolds.

Cheers!
