It's not that I dismiss lower elevations or don't like them with respect to the chase, I just enjoy hiking (and therefore searching) at higher elevations because there are typically fewer people and better poem relationships IMO.

You canoed the NM Brazos or the Texas one or some other one I don't know about? I was talking about the W Brazos in which flows ultimately, into the Rio Chama. The W Brazos rises in the Tusas at about 10,400' maybe a little higher.
