I have a question
Does anyone remember Forrest referring to a bet that he or a friend lost (not the poker game at the airbase in Africa). It could have been in a scrapbook, or one of the books, or one of the stories at his website.

It's been nagging at me, so I thought I would check.

Thanks

RE: I have a question
In the Mountain Men get-together story in TFTW there's the one where FF attached the $100.00 bill to the tree & dared any muzzleloader shooter to hit it. The third guy shot Andrew Jackson in the head from 100 yards away, ... or some such nonsense. He lost that bet supposedly. But that story is bogus anyway.

RE: I have a question
Forrest had a coin flipping contest with a hippy-type guy. I think each flip was for $100.00. He lost the first flip but on subsequent days he ended up ahead. Scrapbook 230.

RE: I have a question
Oh I'm sure Forrest did a lot of betting in his time. A lot of rigged betting.

Anyone else at Fennboree see his coin trick? He flicked a state quarter in the air and it landed in his hand a different state. I don't get impressed easily, but was that day.
