The Squirt

The Squirt
In a letter sent to those at the "Last Roundup" in West Yellowstone on Sept. 5th Forrest told the story about squirting down the dirt road in front of their Dude Motel.

This story describes the final search area of the chase, IMO.

The huge sprinkled field in my search area has a sprinkler line that has water pumped through it from a pump that is in a nearby body of water. This is the hose line in Forrest's story. The right end of the field is at a higher elevation than the rest of the field so it has the lowest pressure.

At this right end of the field there is a dusty road that follows the inside of the property (Boundary Street) and that makes an inside curve. The sprinkler line water covers this curved area and then follows along the edge of the road. But the pipeline moves very slowly and once it leaves the curved area, the watered roadway very soon dries out again and becomes dusty.

Near this location is a large dollar sign ($) that must be drawn according to the clue directions. This is the large Dude "sign".

The sprinkler line is always "squirting" the water out onto the field.

Forrest gave his final hint of confirmation to the location of the TC in this letter.
