I was with a specific group of people several years ago and the leader of the group had over 200 printed emails between a searcher and Fenn
Fenn was still alive and the person who had them couldn’t show the emails because of some stupid legal deal on the emails
I was curious about one fact that was given by I guess Fenn from one of the emails that was read out loud and it stated something to the fact that no matter how hard the searcher tried to convince the public that he in fact had solved the puzzle and that Fenn agreed that he solved the puzzle is that no one would believe him if Fenn never let the fact come to light by his own words or announcement
Fenn taunted this searcher and the searcher apparently tore Fenn a new one publicly in which Fenn then changed the location but said in the email that the box was his to control and the place where the poem was his to control as well
Fenn taunted the searcher saying something like no one will ever believe you
