SS Gairsoppa - $210 million in silver recovered
Now this is a real treasure hunt:

The tricky job of sunken treasure-hunting has paid off for Odyssey Marine Exploration. The U.S. company has surfaced 61 tons of silver bullion that had been lost three miles under the North Atlantic off the coast of Ireland since 1941. The British cargo vessel SS Gairsoppa fell victim to four German U-boat torpedoes in World War II. The haul is said to be the biggest precious metal haul in history and — thanks to Odyssey's contract with the British government — the company will keep 80 percent of the reported $210 million fortune. Of the 85 people aboard the 412-foot, steel-hulled steamship when it went down, only one man survived the frigid waters, finally making it to land in a lifeboat after 13 days at sea.
