RE: time to admit you lost
I realize I have not posted on here since my bold comment that I was going several Tuesday's ago to pick it up. I went to my spot and the area was closed due to recent flooding. I am looking forward, again, to picking it up. Maybe I will come home empty handed, but isn't it the experience for which Forrest designed this chase? Maybe it will be the lucky 105th search that will be the one.......maybe the 106th. If you don't search you will not find!!! Boots on the ground baby!

Well, according to several websites, this being one;

One way to determine concrete density is to first determine the density of the materials that go into it.

Cement weighs 830 to 1,650 kilograms per cubic meter, equal to a range of 52 lbs. per cubic foot to 103 lbs. per cubic foot.

The rule of thumb is to consider that a 94 lb. bag of cement will make one cubic foot when it is freshly packed. Cement will naturally compress when shipped.

Because of the large difference in bulk volume, cement should be measured by mass rather than volume.

As for concrete itself, the density of concrete of normal weight is about 2,400 kg per cubic meter, or 145 lbs. per cubic foot...

OK, so a cubic foot is 1728 cubic inches, and the chest is 500 cubic inches. 145 lbs./1728 c.i multiplied by 500 c.i..

Concrete cracks I don't think he hid the chest in concrete... Is that what you are saying?
