How did he carry it?
On Jenny's site he says he carried stuff in both his hands and with a pack. (He said no one else was around). It makes me think it was one of those out of the way, no facilities campgrounds.

Maybe his dog carried it in a backpack? No he's was alone since that would mean he would only need to take one trip then...........

He really wants to imply he went alone..............

Excellent find. I believe his instructions include finding the treasure and something else, and that the something else is to be left where it is found. This is the first that I recall him possibly referring to it.

.

Thanks for that.

I had mentioned years ago that the best method would be a cooler with wheels.

If Forrest was clever enough, he would only need one trip.

But anyway, for those that find it and its in a public area, this would be a good way to take it out with nobody noticing.

He also says in the beginning of that interview that the chest is 10" x 10" x 6" I am sure that was discussed at the time when the interview came out... Just thought it was interesting...

@Liv: Thats good reasoning. Perhaps he intends to mark his grave in some fashion and yes a headstone or some sort of cross might be in order. I don't think the blaze is close to the spot so maybe he needs something else to aid a searcher when he's gone and he truly does bury himself with the chest. I don't think it will help us now though as he only wants the chest found in the centuries to come...
