If ya'll read my initial post I said my site is in the "safe zone." The thread is titled "hypothetical." It also says "while I do not (I repeat: do not) think the treasure is there, it got me wondering how hard ya'll think these lines are."

I thought this was a group of close readers? Every response assumes that thats where I'm looking when I said (in about 3 or 4 different ways) that I'm not!

Cheers Smile

I didn't assume anything at all about where you were looking.

RE: hypothetical altitude question
Ok. So my post is about an area which might be off the map. :-) But what you might do is look at other things besides walking. Forrest is an air guy... Are there airport lines where you search, or radio towers?

RE: hypothetical altitude question
I thought the specific quote of 10,200 ft was to rule out altitudes higher than that for search areas.
Shhh they aren't listening.

RE: hypothetical altitude question
Right, so a landing would be in/ below that. Between 10,200 and 5,000 ft. The airport in my search area was granted special exemptions and is a mess to read about. Probably the sheiks and princes etc that summer home there (right along with the farmers and golfers). Or something. Where's that airman when I need him. Some dude who told me latitude and longitude aren't elevation. I can't dismiss the airport idea until I rule it out. :-)

As to Bay Laurel, with my luck I'd pick cherry laurel by mistake. And no, that spice description didn't help me.... (so quit being so secretive and spit it out. What am I missing.

RE: hypothetical altitude question
I think it would be useful to look up the definition of altitude. Those afraid to use a dictionary will never
find the TC.
