Bring Your Snow shovel if your plans take you to Yellowstone
Hello everybody! This is my first time in the chat. I seen the story just a year ago and, had with in half an hour, I got a good feel on a spot. Not a place that any of you talk about that I can tell. I took a trip to the place below the home of Brown and turned around due to unpreparedness of the hike and late time of day that I started out. This year I'll better prepare myself all around. The home of Brown was a genius play of words and meaning. His multi tailored poem I like that too. It speaks to me, and this place is special. I bought both books not long ago to help with efficiency in the finding of the treasure when I go back. The cold and warm, the wood, and the Blaze, it all seems to make since to me. I can't believe no one else has this place in mind but, I am probable wrong, right? Well, I will soon find out if I have the spine for this. None the less, this "The Chase" sure has been fun & x citing. Stay safe, have fun everyone!

Yellowstone in the winter....

I talked to a lady that lives there year round outside West Yellowstone. She has friends that visit her from Alaska and have told her that its "COLDER" there than in parts of Alaska.

Hiking is a good workout, but who wants to hike in sub freezing temps thru thick snow?! If your car breaks down...or you get stuck in the snow out there.. Good luck!!? The chest is hard enough to find with no snow... why would you want to add it?!

The grizzlies are hibernating... I guess that's the only good benefit but what if you find a nice spot to look and it happens to be a Bear DEN!?

It may snow this weekend, but will warm up next week. It's far too early to worry about it. Having said that, I have a feeling that we'll have an early winter. I'll keep everyone informed.

Are they closing for the season? Is it normal for them to close this early?

Some people's focus is way too narrow.

Man, I missed that one. When do they usually close the West and South entrances?
