Keep it positive dude, the world is not so gloomy.
I wouldnt say Im either. Its not about how long youve been registered, but how much time youve dedicated to knowing what there is to know.

This guy, in another thread said it best(so far, positive attitude nonsense removed)...

An organized and focused searcher can catch up to most of us in a few weeks of diligent review. Appreciation of confirmation bias risks and a couple of debunked personal solves also earns more senior status. While BOTG reflect emotional investment, excessive ground searchers also ignore Mr. Fenn's cautionary statements that success will not arise from BOTG trial-and-errors but instead will pop into view as a gestalt once the last tumblers suddenly fall into place. So I use the term to refer to searchers who really aren't yet in position to make a solve because they have not yet acquired the necessary contextual info to make a go at it. That can and will occur very rapidly once you commit.

And, your the one who gets to decide what valid is? Now you're funny.

Nope. I think its pretty clear what I mean., i dont want to see people here claiming they have solved it but cant get the chest for whatever excuse *indefinitely*. I just used your mountain as an example. Hope you bought some oxygen bottles cause even Mindy is going next month to get it apparently. Seriously be safe and get the chest if you can, good luck!

Less than a month veteran? This what I mean. No offense Slim, but does time-in play any part? Maybe not, but so many are giving me advice and it is hard to weed through all the experts.

There arent any experts. Only folks who are familiar with the available information and have an opinion, and those who arent and have an opinion.

I am going to use your words against you..... No matter if vet or new, everything is opinion since there is no confirmation from ff, right? Don't mean to gab, just tying to get lay of the land.

Not using my words against me at all. More like using Fenns words. Other than being familiar with the available information(TTOTC, TFTW, Scrapbooks, videos, weekly/questions/surprise words, et al)...we are all equal. The ONLY thing we know, is that we know nothing. We only think we do.
