I would say it had something to do with the constellations? Conjunctions, alignments? Maybe the dominant contellations visible in September? Perhaps a Nebula in Taurus? Maybe a reference to the story of Zeus/Jupiter's desire for Europa being awoken by Cupid's arrow, sent by Venus ? The mythological origins of Europe?

Europa being the mother of Mino's? Minos, of Minotaur fame?

Hell if I know, I'm neither an astronomer or astrologist. I do know a little about Greek mythology though.
