New Chasechat Rule #1...
Until you can prove that your opinion is right and matters, please stop claiming other opinions are wrong.

Everyone has solved the Fenn poem 20 times over, yet no one actually holds it.

In fact, until you are actually holding the treasure in your hands, you are considered an idiot just like the rest of us, so please hold back your "know-it-all" preaching.

You are not nearly as smart as you think you are until you can prove otherwise, so just leave the rest of us alone until then.

Mm

I think you're in the wrong place, buddy. Find another hobby, I don't think that this situation is working out quite so well for you. Your choice though.

And you are definitely entitled to your piss-everyone-off-when-you-post opinion, Gordon Lightfoot.

Our little secret, I find it a little weird.

Smile @kpro, this is what I needed you to say with @RoosterCogburn (whom I still miss). You're right, time for me to go to bed.

Its easy to show many solves are not valid do to many things Fenn has said but most will find many ways to interpret everything he says so they can find some wiggle room in there solve so thousands of hours of research is not wasted in the chase.

Kinda like no history needed but most like to use it Wink

Stick to geography, maps, and the poem; very few solves are constructed out of only these 3 things.

True Count, but doesn't geology sometimes look with granite faced askance upon the tumultuous changes in geography?

I don't really understand your question but I often looked into geology as a solution to some of the clues and couldn't make a connection.

Noone can confirm anything except they don't have the chest..... you are exactly right. The stories and excuses of why are pretty darn entertaining though. Yes, some need a big serving of humble pie, some of the stories are ridiculous. It is entertainment only.

Isn't history a major component of a comprehensive knowledge of geography? I mean, we did just see you interpret what f said about history (cause he never said that). Wiggle room comes from all angles.

Not less your relying on saying 'kinda like' to mean he didn't actually say that...

Pays to be a winner.
