"Highlihted" region of the map?
Did I get a pirated map or did Fenn spell "highlighted" incorrectly? The "G" is missing.

I have examined the same crappy map that most of us can afford (the free and non-pirated version, don't worry) and and am sort of a font fanatic/expert. You can zoom in down to the most blurry pixels on the "H" and "B" in the font of the poem that is *larger*... but the caption above the title of the poem map is in seemingly the same but a slightly smaller point font. Zoom in pixel by pixel to what you presume was a letter "H".... One letter has one pixel a shade darker; hence changing it's meaning.

In that case, he's spelled, "bighlibted"?

So what's up with the "subtle" "missed but trying to stand out" "B"? Wink

You might want to search the archives on this. I'm pretty sure this was discussed previously.

RE: "Highlihted" region of the map?
I didn't get it from earthmagazine.com but I've searched a lot of archives. Sorry if this has been discussed previously as I am new to ChaseChat and there's a lot to cover.

Forgive me, having read the article I don't see where it addressed misspellings and fonts of carefully crafted maps?

@ John Brown, could you kindly link me or at least hint at a good "search thread" phrase?

This thread can die. Sorry for being a n00b lol.

My bigger question is: Is the consensus that someone on "all these Fenn forums" have come within 200 feet of it? Therefore the answer is in the person least (especially now) talking on the forums? It's not like Fenn would have said "You're within 200 feet of it" to the person directly.

Is it possible that some of us are searching in more probable areas .... outside the mass consensus?
