"not under water" says Fenn
SUBMITTED JUNE, 2017
BY FORREST

When I said the treasure was not hidden in Utah or Idaho it has been my plan to not narrow the search area further. But in the light of a recent accident, and in the interest of safety, I feel it necessary to alter that plan.

The treasure chest is not under water, nor is it near the Rio Grande River. It is not necessary to move large rocks or climb up or down a steep precipice, and it is not under a man-made object.

Please remembered that I was about 80 when I made two trips from my vehicle to where I hid the treasure.

Please be cautious and don’t take risks.

My guess is that in the last 7 years more than 250,000 people have searched for the treasure without suffering any serious injuries. I invite you to add your name to that list. The search is supposed to be fun. f

My solve is a partial bust... maybe a full bust... I'm thrilled that I don't ever have to look there again. It's far more likely to make millions what I'm already doing..
My team just got patent pending on a bolt that locks with a key.

Well, I thought the island in Minnie Lake was a perfect Fenn grave and 6 feet under was the perfect hidey spot in that stagnant water.
Even my 800 ft Salamander geoglyph fits the jars and bells theme...
Who knows now

THis is a great question. Have to chew on it for a while.

Anyone who really knows the Rockies knows there's almost no chance of the chest staying intact over a few year if it is in a Rocky mountain river.

Some specifics for those who don't believe the "don't go where an 80 yr old man would have difficulty" and/or lack common sense.

Making this thread a sticky.
