Treasure vs Treasure Chest

Treasure vs Treasure Chest
I started this quest looking for a box of gold.
I have since determined that to me it would be much more gratifying to solve forrests riddle while he's alive.
The treasure to me...is forrest.
The treasure chest is secondary, if even. I would donate it to the Smithsonian, just as I've heard he would like.
If he were gone, I don't think I would continue this quest.

Watch out for the new tax laws if you donate it.

A very nice sentiment. I'm sure I would have quit long ago if not for Forrest engaging with us searchers. I'm not sure what I will do if he's not involved, so it's best if one of us finds it soon so I don't have to find out.

Agreed. Forrest makes it what it is. Like I said, to me, he is the treasure.

I don't think it matters if he's gone. His biggest clue doesn't even have to be written. He'll always be there.

RE: Treasure vs Treasure Chest
I agree - Fenn is just a man, the treasure chest is just a box full of material items, and the Chase is just a puzzle to solve.

Combined, however, it sure does make for a fun hobby.

Regardless of man or material...what drives you More? The man, or the material?
