For someone who extensively pimped the "Robin Hood" solve to newbs and the community as a whole, it is curious you seem to have a wealth of information on locales in New Mexico. Just sayin... Despite her avatar, Minnie Eftskin is a well-known evil witch. What would you expect from such a source? |

Thanks A LOT Beavertooth, I had a bad dream last night about Zodiac Fenn showing up at my solve site and now you tell me Eftskin is an evil witch. I'm sleeping with one eye open tonight... I want this to be a fair fight. I'll shoot him in the back myself. That's the Code of the West! |

Its clear he was stating once you land, stop by and ill give the boys some arrowheads before searching. No underline meaning, no red herrings, and nothing more than an old man being kind. |

I think it's awesome that he offered to do that for your kids.
What I can't understand is why any serious searcher, especially the smart ones would even consider searching anywhere near Bandelier (before or after the Randy tragedy). Why would anyone look at a map and say "yah, that kinda looks north of Santa Fe"? |

Because Fenn stated to Dal that anything slightly north of due west or due east was "north" or "northerly" in Fenn's mind. This led Dal to retract his opinion that Bandelier was not in play. See the last paragraph in Dal's blog about "Bandelier ...Not!". That is the paragraph where he retracts the entire blog post. |

Yes, I get that it's technically north of the east-west line. But seriously?
When Fenn originally stated that it's "north" of Santa Fe, there's no way he would have described it that way if it was in the Bandelier area. He would have said "west" of Santa Fe. |
